Online Orders POS Workflow
3rd party Online ordering orders are located on the bottom of the main POS screen under the "OLO" button. The counter on the button indicates how many pending online orders there are.
After opening-up, the online ordering integration user sees pending online orders tab. Within this tab, we have a list of unconfirmed online orders, user is able to open them for confirmation.
Key characteristics to watch here are:
- Online ordering platform from which order came
- Order type (pickup or delivery)
- Ticket status
After ticket is confirmed it goes to the "In progress" tab and prints the receipt in the kitchen or shows up the order in the kitchen display if the merchant is using one, to inform kitchen staff.
Also, the ticket appears in POS system under the person which is assigned by default in the "Marketplace" settings above.
In progress, tab holds the list of confirmed orders.
When the order is prepared and packed up for delivery or pickup user has to open up the order and push the "Ready for pickup" button, this will indicate delivery driver or customer that order is ready to be picked up.
When the order goes into "Ready for pickup" stage it indicates that order was prepared and has to be picked up. It also sends the data to 3rd party online ordering system to inform about the order that was prepared.
After the pickup user has to manually indicate that order was picked up by clicking "Picked Up" button, to complete it
All orders that were successfully fulfilled go into the "History" tab for reference, with the "Fulfilled" status.
